Shannon Rose Chavez
January 22, Shannon Rose Chavez was awarded th 2011 Valley of the Flowers Peace Prize by last years awardee, Conrad Gozales, Teen Director of the Lompoc Boys and Girls Club. Shannon was chosen out of a field of nine very deserving nominees.
"I was so amazed and so honored - honored for the center and the work we have been doing for so many years," she said. In speaking of the center staff, Chavez said, "It is important to recognize the good that is being done in Lompoc. I know about this, but so many people don't. It is so good to give these people recognition." Read More
